Self Care Ideas

  • Give myself / or get a pedicure or a manicure.
  • Read a book or magazine for an hour.
  • Sit. Just. Sit.
  • Take a bubble bath — maybe with candles and music 
  • Pick or buy some fresh flowers.
  • Take a walk without a goal.
  • Put on a face mask.
  • Binge watch a show without guilt.
  • Take a nap.
  • Order in dinner.
  • Do something crafty: coloring, knitting.
  • Go to the library or bookstore.
  • Sit in the grass and watch the clouds float by.
  • Look at the stars.
  • Have a dance party.
  • Take a mental health day
  • Burn a candle or diffuse some oils.
  • Sit in a coffee shop and sip on a drink.
  • Try out a new hobby.
  • Do yoga.
  • Cook breakfast for myself before anyone else.
  • Go for a drive—no destination required.
  • Close myself in a room and listen to the latest episode of my favorite podcast.
  • Have a 20 minute stretching session.
  • Go to the park and play on the playground
  • Wear an outfit that makes me feel great. Dress up!
  • Declutter a spot in my house
  • Write a list of tasks and knock them out in an hour.
  • Bake a dessert and then eat it.
  • Watch the sun rise or set.
  • Have a picnic.
  • Go to bed early or sleep in late.
  • Research something that I’ve been interested in but haven’t had the time to dive into. ***Ted Talks
  • Edit who I follow on Social Media, Or who follows me.
  • Buy a fun treat for myself at the store when I go grocery shopping. I enjoy it as a reward for feeding my family nourishing food!
  • Get a massage.
  • Spend time outside.
  • Take the time to do my hair and makeup, for no other reason than it makes me feel put together.
  • Write a list of 3 things I’m grateful for and why.
  • Buy myself a new set of pens or markers.
  • Write a letter (or an email) to an old friend.
  • Cook a fancy meal for no other reason than I deserve a fancy meal.
  • Say “no” to someone.
